At the end of life we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ‘I was hungry and you gave me to eat, I was naked and you clothed me, I was homeless and you took me in.’ Hungry not only for bread — but hungry for love. Naked not only for clothing — but naked for human dignity and respect. Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks — but homeless because of rejection. ~ Mother Teresa
Besides devoting our time to share our love for Hong Kong, the team at Big Foot Tour has also been giving back to the society. We took a short break recently to visit Siem Reap, where we volunteered our services to the people in need. We cooked, repaired roofs and planted fruit trees for our host families. This trip has been a very humbling experience for us and we gain so much – a sense of joy from giving, a greater level of appreciation of what we have in life and, most importantly, a new definition for love.
So thank you, our lovely host families from Komphelm Village as well as all the wonderful people whom we have crossed path in this trip. We promise to do much more for the society and we hope to bring more smiles to people from all over the world.
Here’s a short clip where our guide, Joe, learns Khmer and the kids practise their English.
We have posted more photos on our Facebook page. Check them out and like us on Facebook!
